Salmathub™

Geo-tracking and Management Mobile App

Salmat, the biggest distributor of printed catalogues in Australia, employed thousands of contractors nationwide to deliver client catalogues to household letterboxes. The salmathub™ App helped eradicate the complicated and manual work required for a contractor (called 'Distributor') to deliver catalogues to an area.

Increase Adoption Rate

One year after launch, only 77.5% of distributors were using the salmathub app. The KPI's set was for the product to have 90% of distributors on board.

Given the task of increasing this adoption rate, I decided to conduct multiple stakeholder brainstorming sessions for ideas to achieve the goal.  Finally, it was decided that providing employee incentives would achieve the set goal.

Due to the tight deadline for launching this feature, I quickly mapped out some user flows, created wireframes, followed by producing some rapid prototypes for testing.

Tests were conducted with 5 users (3 Distributors, 1 Area Rep, 1 Salmat Delivery Manager).  There was no significant user flow issues identified from the tests however minor updates to the UI and amendments to labelling were made based on the feedback.

Record Delivery Issues

Overdue contracts marked as 'complete' are a common issue among Distributors. Area Managers need to understand the reason for this situation from Distributors.

Currently, the process is manual where Distributors receive an email asking for their feedback for their reason for late delivery. To keep the process more streamlined, it was decided to include a feedback form to gather this data via the salmathub app.

Once again, due to the tight deadline for the launch of this feature, I mapped multiple user flows and produced rapid prototypes for testing. The tests were conducted with 6 users (5 Distributors, and 1 Area Rep).

There were no significant user flow issues identified from the tests however minor updates to the UI and amendments to labelling were made based on the feedback.
