Tommy Hilfiger

eCommerce Website

Tommy Hilfiger a premium American clothing brand owned by PVH, wanted to refresh the look of their Australian facing ecommerce website.

MY ROLE

Revised and maintained a design system

Executed UI design and testing

Championed effective collaboration with the development team

Project Overview

The project brief came with limitations surrounding budget and a tight deadline. This resulted in me having to use Salmat's standard pattern library of Magento 2 - ecommerce content management system, thereby restricting the level of customisation I could employ. Additionally, the tight timeframes meant there was limited opportunity to improve the user experience of the website.

I made a deliberate effort to work closely with the UI developers and QA team in order to minimise flaws in the visual design translating to a live site. Furthermore, I managed the offshore team in their fleshing out of my set templates and design processes.

Take away and next steps

Overall, this project presented several challenges requiring me to think creatively and work efficiently. This resulted in me applying innovative solutions to produce a great outcome. Now that the website is launched, and we are moving onto the second stage of our engagement with the brand, I am currently carrying out testing and research to further enhance the site, for the ultimate user experience.
